Plot
"Do I look like a virgin to you?"
Oh
Mal Soon (Na Moon Hee) is a seventy-year-old lady who loves to cuss,
and showing off her son is her only ray of light. One day she finds out
her family is sending her to her home. She takes a walk in the night and
finds herself attracted to the light of "Youth Photo Studio". She gets
made up for the first time in her life and takes a portrait of herself.
On the way out, she is shocked at the way she looks; pearly white skin
like Audrey Hepburn and slim body. She's become a pretty young lady from
an old granny! She has become a twenty-year-old 'Audrey' and decides to
use her time well. She then changes her name to Oh Doo Ri (Shim Eun Kyung)...

- Shim Eun Kyung - Oh Doo Ri
Oh Doo Ri is a 20 year old lady with clear white skin and a nice body, a
clean white skin and a lean body, yet the way she speaks is way too old
fashioned. Regaining her 20 year old appearance, Oh Doo Ri takes
advantage of her youth as much as she can. Chasing after her life-long
dream of becoming a singer and the igniting spark of a new relationship
are just the start of her adventure.
- Na Moon Hee - Oh Mal Soon
Mal Soon is an old widow who managed to raise her only son to become a
professor at National University. She takes care of everything in her
family and reigns as a queen of a household, until she realizes that she
is becoming a burden on her family and they are planning to send her
off to the senior care center.
- Lee Jin Wook - Han Seung Woo
Seung Woo is a good looking and skilled music station producer. One day,
he goes out to look for a new singer and comes across the silver café,
where Mal-Soon used to work. As he finds Doo Ri singing at the stage,
he falls instantly in love with her.
- Park In Hwan - Mr. Park
Mr. Park is a widower living next door who worked as a house servant in Mal Soon’s house when he was young. Since then, he has a feeling for Mal Soon, even to this day. Despite his age, he is a romanticist who still worries and cares about Mal Soon all the time. Mr. Park is the only person who knows Doo Ri’s secret.

Mal Soon’s one and only son, Hyun Chul is a professor at National University who specializes in studies of the elderly. Hyun Chul is his mother’s treasure; she loves him with all her heart. However, he decides to send his mother off to the senior care center when his wife Ae Ja gets admitted to the hospital after suffering from Mal Soon’s endless nagging, eventually exploding in exasperation.

Box Office
Miss Granny was released in South Korea on January 22, 2014. It drew 850,000 admissions on its opening day, placing it second behind Hollywood animated film Frozen at the box office.
By its second week, good word of mouth caused ticket sales to rise 106%, and Miss Granny became the surprise chart topper after accruing 1.76 million viewers over the Lunar New Year weekend. After only 12 days in theaters, it reached close to 4 million admissions. Miss Granny crossed 7 million admissions on February 17 after 27 days on release, with a gross of ₩51.1 billion (US$48.1 million). It climbed to number 13 on the all-time Korean box office chart in its eighth week.Spoiler:
